How many countries should I include in my itinerary?
This depends on your chosen starting destination, travel pace and interests. For example, France and Italy are large countries and we mostly recommend sticking to two or three regions within each for a single trip. However, some countries pair well together such as Spain and Portugal or England and Ireland. For a relaxed experience, 1 country for a week or 2-3 countries in 2 weeks is a good start. We're always happy to help find the best schedule that suits your preferences.
How many days are needed for a trip to Europe?
A typical European trip can range from 7 to 17 days. This allows you to explore multipe regions' key highlights in depth and possibly visit multiple countries.
Is it possible to travel in Europe completely by train?
Yes, Europe's extensive and efficient rail network makes it possible to travel across the continent entirely by train. Countries are well-connected, and high-speed trains like the Eurostar, TGV, and ICE make long-distance travel convenient. InterRail and Eurail passes offer flexible options for extensive rail travel. It's a scenic and eco-friendly way to explore diverse landscapes and cities. However, some remote areas might be less accessible by train, so occasional alternative transport might be necessary.
