When is the best time to visit Costa Rica?
The best time to visit Costa Rica is from December to April. The rains are less frequent during those months, but as a result, the tourist crowds are bigger. Please note that trips during the Spring Break and Christmas holidays must be planned 9 to 12 months in advance to guarantee availability.
Which Costa Rican airports have direct flights from the US?
Direct flights from the US to Costa Rica primarily land at San Jose's Juan Santamaria airport (SJO). Direct flights to Liberia airport (LIR), located in the North of the country, are less common but represent an interesting option depending on which areas you wish to visit.
Do I need a visa to visit Costa Rica?
US citizens do not need a visa for short visits to Costa Rica, up to 90 days. However, a valid passport and a return ticket are required.
How many days should I spend on vacation in Costa Rica?
