When is the best time to visit Eastern Europe?
The best time to visit Eastern Europe is from May to October. The weather is at its warmest in July and August but tourist crowds are also larger. December is a great month to visit the Christmas markets in the Baltics, but it is important to note that the days are short and it can be very cold.
Which Eastern European airports have direct flights from the US?
Direct flights from the US to Eastern Europe land at Warsaw Chopin airport (WAW) throughout the year and Prague airport (PRG) from mid-May to mid-October.
Do I need a visa to visit Eastern Europe?
US citizens do not need a visa for short visits to Eastern Europe, up to 90 days. However, a valid passport is required, and starting sometime in 2025, an ETIAS authorization will be necessary for Americans which we're happy to help with. More info here.
